Official circulars and notifications from Athletics Federation of India
This circular outlines the procedure and guidelines for the registration of Technical Officials under the Athletics Federation of India. All eligible officials are advised to complete the registration process within the stipulated time.
AFI mandates that all athletes and technical officials must possess a valid AFI UID. Without AFI UID, participation in any AFI-recognized competition or officiating assignment will not be permitted.
This circular provides detailed guidelines and procedures for the transfer of athletes between states, districts, or units under the Athletics Federation of India. All stakeholders are advised to strictly adhere to the prescribed rules and timelines.
AFI announces an Online Pre Level-1 Coaching Course from 10th to 31st December 2025 to enhance the number of qualified district-level coaches. Registration is open from 8th to 30th November 2025 with a course fee of Rs. 5000 + tax. Eligible participants include Physical Education teachers, former athletes, parents, and individuals interested in sports. The course aims to ensure 20-30 qualified coaches in every district.
The AFI has directed that no qualified Technical Official (DTO, TO, FTO, NTO, or ITO) may officiate in any athletics meet without appointment by the AFI Technical Committee. Officials found officiating without permission will face suspension and disciplinary action, and will be barred from future federation activities.
