A PROUD MOMENT: Nagaland Hosts Athletics Federation of India AGM 2026
In a landmark moment for sports in the Northeast, Nagaland proudly hosted the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) Annual General Meeting 2026 for the very first time, marking a significant step in the state’s sporting journey. The historic event was held on April 14th-15th at Hotel Vivor, Kohima, Nagaland. The inaugural session was graced by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio, who described the occasion as a matter of great pride and privilege for the people of Nagaland. He underscored the state government’s commitment to strengthening sports infrastructure and nurturing young talent.
The AGM witnessed the participation of key officials, administrators, and representatives from across the country, who convened to deliberate on crucial policies, development strategies, and the future roadmap of Indian athletics.
