Nagaland Officials Officiated at the 4th Sohra International Half Marathon 2025

The 4th Sohra International Half Marathon was successfully held on 27th September 2025 in the scenic hills of Meghalaya. Recognized by World Athletics and the Athletics Federation of India, this annual road race once again drew thousands of runners and celebrated the unique natural beauty of Sohra. Featuring categories in 21K, 10K, and 5K, the event highlighted both fitness and tourism, cementing its place as one of the premier running events in the country.

In a proud achievement for Nagaland, the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) nominated six technical officials from the state to serve as race officials during the marathon. Their selection reflected recognition of Nagaland’s growing contribution to athletics officiating at the national and international levels. The collaboration also builds experience for the officials, who will gain exposure on a major international marathon course.

The six nominated officials from Nagaland were:

  • Purna Konyak
  • Neikuosielie
  • Tokuho Sumi
  • Neilazetu Khezhie
  • Thepfungunyu Solo
  • Hovikul

These officials played key roles in ensuring fair competition, accurate timekeeping, and smooth coordination throughout the event. Their presence at the Sohra International Half Marathon underscored the increasing professionalism and expertise of Nagaland’s athletics fraternity.
