The Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima came alive on 10th September 2025, as the Nagaland Athletics Association proudly hosted the 2nd Nagaland Junior Athletics Championships 2025. The day was a resounding celebration of discipline, determination, and the raw sporting spirit of Nagaland’s youth.

🏃 U-14 Years – Boys & Girls
The youngest category saw an outpouring of enthusiasm and promise.
- Boys’ IBTA: Lanutemjen Kichu (Mokokchung) sprinted his way to gold, followed by Mughakupu H (Dimapur) and Arenlong Tzudir (Mokokchung).
- Boys’ IBTB: Ilopu K Khujumi (Dimapur) claimed first place with a stellar performance.
- Boys’ IBTC: Lemma (Dimapur) secured the top spot, with tough competition from Noklak and Mokokchung athletes.
- Girls’ IBTA: Naromenla (Mokokchung) impressed with a dominant win.
- Girls’ IBTB: Anon M Konyak (Dimapur) led the field, with Neisavono Nagi (Kohima) and Sungjemyongla Jamir (Mokokchung) taking the podium.
- Girls’ IBTC: Inotoli Sumi (Dimapur) clinched gold, showing excellent promise.

- Boys’ 60M Run: Imlinungba (Mokokchung) blazed through the track in 7.5s, clinching gold.
- Boys’ 600M Run: Alemwati Longchar (Dimapur) outpaced the rest with 1:34.2.
- Boys’ High Jump: Nchelo Nchelo (Kohima) soared to victory with 1.60m.
- Boys’ Long Jump: Moalong Jamir (Dimapur) topped the event with a 4.20m leap.
- Boys’ Shot Put: Dzieseneizo (Kohima) and Kekhrielhou (Dimapur) tied with impressive throws of 9.65m.
- Girls’ 60M Run: Neshe Maongyu Konyak (Dimapur) sprinted to the top, followed by Apoang N.
- Girls’ 600M Run: Supei S (Dimapur) won with a time of 1:56.8.
- Girls’ Long Jump: Apoang N (Dimapur) struck gold with a 3.23m jump.
- Girls’ Shot Put: Yingsunglumi Kikon (Kohima) delivered a strong throw of 5.84m.

- Boys’ 100M & 200M: Avizha Zalie (Kohima) dominated both events with 11.4s and 23.9s respectively.
- Boys’ 400M: Thangmeng K (Noklak) clocked 57.7s to win.
- Boys’ 1000M: Sullim (Noklak) took gold in 3:04.7.
- Boys’ Long Jump: Thengem L (Noklak) leapt 5.66m for the top spot.
